We had an amazing 7th Annual Run for Thought 5k Trail Run and 1 Mile Walk/Roll on November 8, 2014. Over 200 runners and walkers came out to support the BIASC on a chilly Saturday morning in Greenville, SC. A BIG thank you goes out to our planning committee, sponsors, fundraisers, runners and walkers. We could not have done it without you!

2014 Statewide Life with Brain Injury Conference!

 

The Brain Injury Association of SC and the South Carolina Brain Injury Leadership Council hosted the 2014 Statewide Life with Brain Injury Conference on July 24, 2014 in Columbia, SC. Over 250 survivors, family members, and professionals came out to hear topics ranging Respite Options to Preparing for College After Brain Injury.

Concussion Management for Secondary School Professionals Conference

On March 17, 2014, the Brain Injury Association of South Carolina (BIASC) in collaboration with the South Carolina Athletic Trainers Association hosted a concussion conference for school administrators, teachers, school nurses, athletic directors, athletic trainers, and coaches. The objective of this conference was to increase the knowledge base in the areas of concussion identification, symptoms and management The training was provided by a Heads Up! SC grant, which is funded by the SC Developmental Disabilities Council.
