Are you having a problem getting an Individual Education Plan or Section 504 Plan for your child that has a brain injury? We can usually supply an advocate in your area and would love to help.

The Brain Injury Association of West Virginia has volunteers that lobby the legislators on your behalf for key causes such as ATV helmet law, blood alcohol level reduction for drunk drivers and torte reform.

We offer seminars throughout the year and usually an Educational Conference. At the Conference we provide Continuing Education Units for Social Workers and other professionals to help them continue their education and become more knowledgeable about brain injury.

The newsletter Moving Ahead is distributed quarterly and can be received in hardcopy or online. Through this newsletter we share what is new, what we have accomplished and how your role in our association has made a change for West Virginians with brain injury and their families.

The Brain Injury Association of West Virginia assists in supporting the efforts of survivors to be independent and productive members of society.

We also off Information and Referral services. If you are in need of assistance in finding transportation to doctor’s appointments or physical therapy we may be able to put you in touch with the right people in your area. We can also help you locate various centers for independent living within your own community. We can be reached at 1-304-766-4892.
