Volunteering, Donations, and Fundraising

Volunteers needed

We could not reach as many people as we do without the wonderful volunteers that we have. During 2003 we had many successful fund raisers and events and our great volunteers made that possible. I would like to extend an invitation to everyone who would like to volunteer for the year 2004. We have many areas where you can provide assistance to the survivors of brain injury and their families. If you feel that you can offer the time to the Brain Injury Association of West Virginia, we would love to hear from you. I can be reached at 1-800-356-6443 or by email at BIAWV@AOL.COM (ask for Peggy Brown or Belinda Silas). The following areas are where we currently need assistance.

  1. Support Group leader in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia

  2. Support Group leader in Logan County

  3. Support Group leader in Pocahontas County

  4. Support Group leader in Hardy County

  5. Support Group leader in Ohio County

  10. I.M. Brainy Bear in Eastern Panhandle- Taking the two stuffed bears named I.M. Brainy to local elementary schools and picking them up the next Monday for 2 months in the spring. This would entail contacting the schools prior to delivery and arranging pickup dates as well.

  13. Working at our fundraisers such as the, "Cruise-In Against Brain Injury"™ and the "Walk Between the Bridges Against Brain Injury"™ taking registrations, serving food and directing parking. We also will need people to set up and dismantle tents for the events.
