Olmstead Decision
Community Based Alternatives for
Individuals with Disabilities (Executive Order #13217). The United
States Supreme Court held in Olmstead v. L.C., that unjustified
institutionalization of individuals with disabilities may constitute
discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
