Why Not Volunteer!
Why Not Volunteer!
Volunteers are vital to the success of our
programs. Without them we could not provide the outreach services
necessary, to promote awareness and safety as well as inform brain
injury survivors of our existence. With the help of our many
volunteers, we are able to reach 11 Counties across Wyoming.
It is our goal to be able to provide some services
in every county, all 24, in Wyoming. Toward that goal, the Brain
Injury Association of Wyoming has applied for and received a grant
from the Christopher Reeve Foundation. This grant allows us to
distribute information to survivors & familes, provide training and
feedback to support group leaders, and reimburse some expenses for
our volunteers.
We have recently received additional support toward
volunteer expenses through a grant from Health Resource Services
Administration (HRSA) under contract with the Wyoming Department of
Health Division of Developmental Disabilities. If you would like to
start a new support group in your area of Wyoming, we can help!

Volunteers are needed in
the following Counties in Wyoming:
Crook, Carbon, Campbell, Johnson, Weston, Big Horn,
Converse, Park, Teton, Niobrara, Goshen, Platte, Washakie, Uinta,
Lincoln, Sublette, Natrona.
Do you have what it takes to volunteer to help
people with brain injury? In Wyoming alone there are nearly 10,000
people living with the effects of brain injury.
Many do not know where to go for help, they just
"live with it".
