BIAA Board of Directors Adopts Position on Rehabilitation Outcomes
March 27, 2017
On March 21, 2017, BIAA’s Board of Directors adopted a position paper to provide insight into the manner by which existing outcomes research should be evaluated and to urge the utmost care be taken in the design, interpretation, and reporting of future studies of brain injury rehabilitation outcomes.
The position paper is available for download here.
“We encourage clinicians and administrators to read the paper and share it broadly within their facilities and institutions,” said Susan Connors, president and chief executive officer of the Brain Injury Association of America. She added, “We want to foster innovative thinking in research design, measurement tools, and care delivery to improve the quality, value, and results for individuals with brain injury.”
BIAA gratefully acknowledges the paper’s authors and offer special thanks to the reviewers.
