BIAA Invited to Moderate Senate Special Committee Briefing

The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) has been invited by the Senate Special Committee on Aging and the Congressional Brain Injury Task Force to moderate a legislative briefing on the long-term consequences of sports-related brain injuries and concussions.
 
Joseph Cammarata, founder and president of the Brain Injury Association of Washington, D.C., will represent BIAA and serve as moderator.
 
Panelists include: Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr., (D-N.J.), Co-found and co-chair of the Congressional Brain Injury Task Force; Grant Baldwin, Director of the Division for Unintentional Injury Prevention, National Center for Injury Prevention, CDC; William Ditto, Chair, Public Policy Committee, National Association of State Head Injury Administrators; former NFL and University of Alabama athlete Kevin Turner; and Jeff Cummings, Director, of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
 
The briefing will be held in room SVC-201 of the U.S. Capital Visitor Center on June 25, 2014, from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
