BIAA Testifies before House Subcommittee on Health on TBI Act


On November 20, 2013, the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) testified before the House Subcommittee on Health during the hearing “Examining Public Health Legislation to Help Local Communities.” The Subcommittee on Health is chaired by Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA); Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ) is the ranking member.

The TBI Act, H.R. 1098, was included along with six other public health bills discussed during the hearing. Drew Nagele, Psy.D., a member of BIAA’s board of directors, testified in support of the TBI Act. Dr. Nagele is pictured (top) with BIAA President/CEO Susan Connors, and (bottom) with Subcommittee on Health Chairman Pitts.
