We Want Your Feedback on TBI Guidelines Project Questions

04-Mar-2015

Last week we announced that the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) and the Brain Injury Research Center at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai have reached an important step in the development of Guidelines for the Rehabilitation and Chronic Disease Management of Adults with Moderate to Severe Traumatic Brain Injury.

Members of five panels (Behavioral Issues, Cognitive Issues, Functional Issues, Medical Complications, and Participation/Community Issues) have developed and prioritized their initial research questions. The evidence identified and synthesized in response will help answer the following overarching questions:

  • How much rehabilitation should adults with moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) receive?
  • In what setting?
  • At what time?

BIAA encourages you to participate in this process by reviewing and commenting on these questions. Please visit the TBI Guidelines section of the BIAA website (www.biausa.org/tbiguidelines) and select "Provide Project Feedback" to learn how to submit comments on the project.

The deadline for submitting comments is March 31, 2015.
