His hopes and dreams lay before him,
Free as a bird, some might say.
Fate turned his world around,
And he would have to find a different way.

Ripped apart in an instant,
His life would forever be changed.

Sanguine he has remained through it all,
Never one to lament over strife or pain.
Soaring broad and far, he is bound to be.
Though difficult his road will remain.
