McKay Moore Sohlberg, PhD, CCC-SLP has been teaching and conducting research at the University of Oregon since 1994 and is the director of the Communication Disorders and Sciences program. She is known internationally for her pioneering work in the field of cognitive rehabilitation and is particularly interested in the development of treatments that mitigate cognitive effects for individuals with brain injury in the post acute phase, including individuals with persistent cognitive effects following concussive injuries and individuals who are attempting to pursue postsecondary education following brain trauma.

Within the last 24 months, have you rendered, or in the next two years, will you render clinical services or support services (whether diagnostic, therapeutic, educational, case management, or similar) to persons with TBI or their family members and caregivers, as an independent professional or employee of a for-profit or not-for-profit organization?: I provide cognitive rehabilitation in the University of Oregon HEDCO clinic.

Within the past 24 months, I or one of my “immediate family members” received personal compensation for the following: I have received support to attend and speak at a number of brain injury conferences; Royalties from several textbooks on cognitive rehabilitation published by Guilford Publication and a number of clinical tools published by Lash and Associates; I have received honoraria for speaking at brain injury conferences; I am part owner of an LLC, Personal Technologies, that has a licensing agreement with the University of Oregon to disseminate assistive technology for cognition tools that have been developed from research funding. The entity currently provides APT-3, an attention training program, to researchers evaluating its efficacy.

Within the past 24 months and during the three-year course of the project under consideration, I or one of my immediate family members received or will receive financial or material research support or compensation from the following: I have been PI or Co-PI on a number of federally funded grants including National Science Foundation and Department of Education.
