Sheldon L. Herring
A graduate of the University of Arizona, Dr. Herring specializes in the neuropsychological sequelae of traumatic brain injury, stroke and related neurological disorders. He helped develop the Traumatic Brain Injury and Young Stroke Programs of Roger C. Peace Rehab Hospital, part of Prisma Health, Greenville SC and serves as the Clinical Director of the Outpatient TBI Program. He is the current chair of the Board of Governors for the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists (ACBIS).
Dr. Herring contributed to the establishment of the Brain Injury Association of South Carolina and was a member of the Governor of South Carolina’s Task Force that helped establish the South Carolina Brain Leadership Council.
Dr. Herring established the Brain Injury Leadership Academy in 2017 to help integrate mindfulness approaches into clinical practice.
Dr. Herring is on the clinical faculty of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Greenville.
