Julia Marton, OT, received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas. Julia has been employed at Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation (BIR) in Dallas, Texas, since 2005. Identifying TBI as her greatest area of interest, she spent 10 years on the TBI team starting as an entry level OT, then progressing to TBI Team Supervisor within five years. As her career progressed, Julia moved into the role of Therapy Education Coordinator, and now supports the educational needs for BIR’s five inpatient campuses, as well as other Select Medical rehabilitation hospitals in the region. In her current role, Julia travels to teach brain injury education to inpatient rehabilitation hospitals that wish to increase their brain injury skill set and develop their brain injury programs. Julia is a member of the North Texas Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council, and enjoys volunteering at community events that support brain injury survivors and their families.
