CBIS Renewal Process

Step One

Log in to the ACBIS Program Portal. This account site is your individual program portal.

Step Two

Under My assignments, select Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) Certification and continue to the CBIS Renewal step.

Click here for detailed instructions on how to complete the renewal application.

Answer all application questions and fill out your continuing education completed within your renewal validation period.

Pay your renewal fee; applications will not be processed until payment is confirmed.

Step Three

Once your renewal application and payment are received, your re-certification will be reviewed – processing may take up to one week – after which, if approved, your updated CBIS certification will be issued.

Beginning May 2021, ACBIS is issuing Unique Certificate ID Numbers for each certificate earned (as well as per certification). The Certificate ID is unique to each individual and unique to each validation period. The Certificate ID will change every year when the renewal process is completed and a new certificate is issued. The Certificate ID will be used to identify active/current certification statuses.
