Kathleen Bechtold Kortte, Ph.D., ABPP is the Director of the Brain and Stroke Rehabilitation Program at Hopkins Hospital, an interdisciplinary, community-re-entry rehabilitation program for individuals with brain injury. She earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University, completed a one-year internship specializing in neuropsychology at the Medical University of South Carolina, and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship specializing in neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology at Johns Hopkins University in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is now faculty in that department. She is board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology and in Rehabilitation Psychology. Dr. Kortte specializes in the neuropsychological evaluation of brain dysfunction and the implementation of therapeutic interventions to promote adjustment to the cognitive and behavioral sequelae that occur following injury to the brain.
Within the last 24 months, have you rendered, or in the next two years, will you render clinical services or support services (whether diagnostic, therapeutic, educational, case management, or similar) to persons with TBI or their family members and caregivers, as an independent professional or employee of a for-profit or not-for-profit organization?: Staff/faculty clinical psychologist at Johns Hopkins providing both evaluation & intervention services. It is unlikely that my compensation will change in any way based upon the guidelines.
Within the past 24 months, I or one of my “immediate family members” received personal compensation for the following: Funding for travel to CERAD in Madrid Spain (Keynote speaker); serving as journal editor, associate editor, or member of an editorial advisory board for Rehab Psychology, Journal of Behavior Neurology, Journal of Clinical Psychology; Honoraria for consulting Bastion Project; Speakers’ bureau or honoraria for speaking at Johns Hopkins Critical Care Conf.
