BIAA Relaunches PBA Voices

The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) has updated and relaunched the website for Pseudobulbar Affect Voices (PBA Voices). The relaunch accompanies the publication of the PBA Toolkit that BIAA published earlier this year.

Pseudobulbar affect, or PBA, is a neurological condition causing sudden, uncontrollable crying, and/or laughing that does not match how the person feels. Despite years of research, there is still confusion and misinformation surrounding PBA.

PBA Voices is a website designed to build awareness for PBA and explore this often misunderstood neurological condition that can be particularly difficult around the holidays. The website has been given a new look, new resources, and updated functionality to allow individuals to share their PBA stories to help reduce the stigma.

Whether you have Pseudobulbar Affect (PBA) or care about someone who does, taking the time to share and connect with a personal story can make a profound difference to someone else. Join us by engaging with our community by reading one of their stories about living with PBA. You can also watch one of our webinars or Facebook live events on the new PBA Voices Videos and Webinars page.
