BIAA Announces New Officers and Directors

The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) announced the election of new directors and officers for the term beginning January 1, 2021. The Association’s new chairwoman will be Shana De Caro, J.D., partner in the New York-based firm of De Caro & Kaplen, LLP. The vice-chair will be Page Melton Ivie, owner and manager of the government affairs and corporate intelligence firm known as The Source Group LLC. Maureen Cunningham, CFRE, executive director of the Brain Injury Association of Missouri, will continue as secretary of the board. Kent Hayden, chief executive officer of Pate Rehabilitation, will continue to serve as BIAA’s treasurer.

New directors include Joanne Finegan, M.S.A., CTRS, FDRT, recently retired CEO and president of ReMed Recovery Care Centers; Steven J. Schneider, M.D., FAANS, FACS, FAAP, co-chief of the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center; and Tony L. Strickland M.S., Ph.D., FNAN, founder and CEO of Nexus Clinical Solutions and the Center for Post-concussion Syndrome and PTSD Treatment.
