How to Become a Brain Injury Fundamentals Instructor
Information & Eligibility
Help others learn about brain injury fundamentals by becoming an instructor.
Becoming a Brain Injury Fundamentals Instructor:
Eligibility:
- Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIS/T)
- Or, Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) with certification for 3+ years
Maintenance: Renew CBIS/CBIST certification to maintain instructor status.
- Renewal of CBIS/CBIST is concurrent with Fundamentals Instructor Status
- No additional requirements apply
Application Process:
- Apply for free online at youtestme.com. To find the application, go to assignments, then additional forms, then Brain Injury Fundamentals Application. Please allow 5-7 business days for application processing. All application questions can be directed to applications@biausa.org
- Attend a “Train the Trainer” webinar (approximately 30 minutes)
- Complete a mandatory survey
Training Materials:
- Approved instructors will be provided with a Fundamentals Instructor Guide and PowerPoint slides for the Program Modules located in the Instructor Secure Zone
